CM Chandrababu Brings Laughter to the Celebration for Balakrishna's Padma Bhushan Award
On the occasion of the Padma Bhushan award announcement to renowned film actor and Hindupuram MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna, his wife Nara Bhuvaneswari organized a special banquet in his honor. The event was held at their farmhouse with grandeur, and several notable personalities attended, including Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, BJP AP President Daggubati Purandeswari, and members from both the Nandamuri and Nara families.
The event was a family gathering filled with fun and laughter. A highlight of the evening was when Bhuvaneswari handed the microphone to her husband, Chandrababu, and humorously said, "This is not a political speech, wrap it up in five minutes," which caught everyone’s attention and brought smiles to the room. In response, Chandrababu made some interesting comments about his wife and Balakrishna, leaving the audience in fits of laughter.
Chandrababu jokingly said, "On one side, there’s Balayya, and on the other side, there’s Bhuvaneswari... I am getting squeezed in the middle." He also mentioned that he had no prior knowledge of the event and that it was entirely Bhuvaneswari's effort, driven by her admiration for Balakrishna.
Chandrababu continued to heap praise on Balakrishna, saying, "Until yesterday, it was ‘Allari Balayya’, and now it’s ‘Padma Bhushan Balayya’." He appreciated Balakrishna’s contributions to both cinema and politics, particularly his work in establishing a world-class cancer hospital, making it one of the best in the country. He also highlighted how Balakrishna has been working hard to uphold the legacy of NTR.
Chandrababu shared a light moment, saying that Balakrishna often asks him for a ticket for his wife, Vasundhara, for the MLA position. "I don’t know whether he’s genuinely asking or doing it just to please her," he quipped, making everyone laugh once again.
Overall, the event was a heartwarming family celebration, filled with humor and affection, and concluded on a lighthearted note that showcased their close family bonds.
